Web sites are one of the least expensive and most flexible forms of advertising.
They are targeted to your audience and give you more exposure. Unlike
printed literature, web sites can be changed and updated as often as
you'd like. A web site provides a means of communicating with your existing
and prospective customers, not to mention a variety of other benefits.
More and more people are turning to the web to research businesses -
whether it is a dry cleaner or a metal fabricator. A web site is can
communicate many things that a yellow page ad or a newspaper ad cannot…
full product lines, testimonials, color photographs, documents, etc.
It's a great place to generate leads, make sales transaction and tell
people why they should use your business.
Where do I start?
First of all, sit down and write down the goals that you'd like to accomplish
through your web site, who your target market is, what information is
most asked of your business and what message you'd like to present.
Next, gather together all materials that are representative of your
business - logos, photos, brochures, letters, postcards, etc. Research
what your competitors are doing - you don't want to copy them, you want
to have an edge over them.
Lastly, contact Power Web Connect for a free initial consultation. You

What is "web hosting"?
The files of your Web site must be on a server with a direct connection

in order for the site to be accessible on the World Wide Web. It is
much more cost-effective to rent server space from a Web Presence Provider
(Power Web Connect) than to buy your own server computers, T3 connections
to the Internet backbones, and hire a technical staff to keep the servers
running properly.

How much work would it involve for me?
Initially you will work with your Marketing Representative to help you
determine your goals, purpose of your site, target audience and integration
of your web site into your existing marketing efforts. You will need
to provide any text and pictures or logos, along with any requirements
for the design of your web site. We will talk to you during the design
process if we have any queries about your requirements and will keep
you informed of progress. We will register your chosen domain name and
upload your web site on to the Internet for you. If you already have
a registered domain name we will carry out the transfer to our server
for you (approval via email or your signature on a form maybe required).
You will then need to check your web site through and send us any amendments.
There's nothing else you need to do - until you wish to make changes
to your web site. We recommend that you do some work to publicize your
web site, to make the most of your investment. A web site is after all
primarily a marketing tool. We will give you advice on how to do this,
once your web site is up and running.
How soon can I get my site online?
It depends on the size of your site, what type of content is incorporated
into the site, and if programming needs to be applied to it. A one page
web site can be done in a matter of hours where an extensive e-commerce
site can take weeks or even months.
For a medium to large site, a contract and site map is established we
will assemble your text, logo, photos and graphics and begin your conceptual
design. It then takes about 10 to 15 working days until a draft of your
web site is complete. Once that is approved we will establish a timeline
and our design team will begin adding content and/or programming on
your site. Once you approve the overall site it can go live on the web
within minutes. Your representative can give you a more detailed timeline
during initial discussions of your site.
